2 Samuel 6 · Grade 2
The Ark Comes Home
Read the Story
The ark was a special box. It showed that God was with His people. David wanted to bring it to his city. They put it on a new cart. People played harps and drums.
The cows tripped. A man named Uzzah grabbed the ark. God had said not to touch it. Uzzah died. David was afraid. He left the ark at the house of a man named Obed-Edom. God blessed that home.
Three months later, David brought the ark to his city. He danced for God with all his might. People blew trumpets and shouted. David gave each person bread and treats.
Memory Verse
“David danced before Yahweh with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod.”
