2 Samuel 16 · Grade 2
Kind When Others Are Mean
Read the Story
David was on the road. A man named Ziba brought donkeys. They carried bread, raisins, and fruit. Ziba said the food was for the king's family.
A man named Shimei came out. He yelled mean words at David. He threw stones and dust. David's helper Abishai wanted to stop him.
David said, Leave him alone. Maybe God will see the wrong done to me. Maybe God will give me good. David and his people were tired. They rested.
Memory Verse
“It may be that Yahweh will look on the wrong done to me, and that Yahweh will repay me good for the cursing of me today.””
