2 Samuel 13 · Grade 2
A Family in Trouble
Read the Story
King David had many children. Two of them were Amnon and Tamar. Amnon did a terrible wrong to his sister Tamar. She told him no, but he would not listen. It was not Tamar's fault.
Tamar was very sad. She cried aloud. She went to live in her brother Absalom's house. King David heard, and he was very angry.
Absalom hated Amnon for what he did. Two years later, Absalom's servants killed Amnon. Then Absalom ran away to Geshur. David was sad for his son every day.
Memory Verse
“But Absalom fled and went to Talmai the son of Ammihur, king of Geshur. David mourned for his son every day.”
