2 Kings 6 · Grade 2
God's Fire Army
Read the Story
Some men cut down trees. An ax head fell in the river. Elisha threw a stick in the water. The iron ax head floated up!
The king of Syria sent an army to get Elisha. They came at night. Elisha's servant woke up and saw them. He was afraid. Elisha said not to be afraid. More were with them than with the army.
Elisha prayed for God to open the servant's eyes. Then he saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire! God made the army blind. Elisha led them away. The king gave them food and sent them home.
Memory Verse
“He answered, “Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.””
