2 Kings 16 · Grade 2
Ahaz Did Not Trust God
Read the Story
Ahaz was king of Judah. He did not do right like David. He did bad things like the nations around him.
Enemies came to fight Ahaz. Ahaz did not ask God for help. He took gold from God's house. He sent it to the king of Assyria.
Ahaz saw an altar in another land. He had one made just like it. He changed things in God's house. God wants us to trust Him and worship His way.
Memory Verse
“Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. He didn’t do that which was right in Yahweh his God’s eyes, like David his father.”
