2 Kings 14 · Grade 2
Pride Comes First
Read the Story
Amaziah was king of Judah. He did right, but not like David. He won a battle against Edom.
Then Amaziah became proud. He wanted to fight Israel's king. Israel's king told him to stay home. Amaziah did not listen.
Judah lost the fight. The wall of Jerusalem was broken. Pride made trouble for Amaziah. God wants us to be humble.
Memory Verse
“He did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, yet not like David his father. He did according to all that Joash his father had done.”
