The King and the Arrows

Name Date

Read the Story

Elisha was old and sick. The king of Israel came to see him. He cried. Elisha told him to take a bow and arrows.

Elisha put his hands on the king's hands. The king shot an arrow out the window. Elisha said it was the Lord's arrow of victory. God would help Israel win.

Elisha told the king to hit the ground with the arrows. The king hit it only three times. Elisha said he should have hit five or six times. Then he would have won more.

Memory Verse

“Elisha said to him, “Take bow and arrows;” and he took bow and arrows for himself.”
