A Chest for Giving

Name Date

Read the Story

Joash did what was right. Jehoiada the priest taught him. Joash saw that God's house was broken in places. He wanted it fixed.

Jehoiada took a chest. He made a hole in the lid. He put it by the altar. The people put money in the chest.

The money paid the workers. They fixed God's house. The workers were honest. No one had to check on them.

Memory Verse

“Jehoash did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes all his days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him.”

2 Kings 12:2 (WEB)
