2 John 1: Walk in Truth and Love
2 John is a short letter from the elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom he loves in truth. He rejoices that some of her children are walking in truth. He reminds them of the commandment they had from the beginning: love one another, and love means walking according to God’s commandments. Many deceivers deny that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, so believers should watch themselves, remain in the teaching of Christ and not welcome those who bring false teaching. He hopes to visit and speak face to face.
