2 Corinthians 6 · Grade 4

Servants of God

Name Date

Read and Think

Paul urges the Corinthians not to receive God's grace in vain. He quotes Isaiah, where God promises to listen and help in a time of favor. Then Paul says that now is the acceptable time and the day of salvation.

Paul does not want anyone to stumble because of his ministry. He shows he is a true servant of God through great endurance in troubles, hard work, sleepless nights, and hunger. He also serves with purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, and sincere love. He is sorrowful yet always rejoicing, poor yet making many rich, having nothing yet possessing all things.

Paul says he has opened his heart wide to the Corinthians, and he asks them to do the same. He warns them not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Light and darkness have nothing in common. Believers are the temple of the living God. God promises to live among His people, to be their Father, and to make them His sons and daughters.
