The Sweet Smell of Christ

Name Date

Read the Story

Paul decided not to visit Corinth again while things were sad. Instead he wrote a letter with many tears. He wrote it so they would know how much he loved them.

A man in the church had caused grief. Most of the church had corrected him, and he was sorry. Paul said, Therefore I beg you to confirm your love toward him. He wanted them to forgive and comfort the man.

Paul thanked God, who always leads His people in triumph in Christ. Through them, the knowledge of Jesus spreads like a sweet smell everywhere they go.

Memory Verse

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.”
