Read the Story

Paul began his letter by praising God. He called Him the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. God comforts His people in all their troubles.

Paul said God comforts His people so they can comfort others. The comfort they receive can be passed along to anyone who is hurting.

Paul told about a very hard time in Asia. It was so hard he did not know how he would get through. It taught him to rely on God. Paul also said that all of God's promises are Yes in Christ.

Memory Verse

“For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.”

2 Corinthians 1:20 (WEB)
