2 Chronicles 9 · Grade 4

Not Half Was Told

Name Date

Read and Think

The queen of Sheba heard of Solomon's fame and came to Jerusalem with a great caravan. She brought camels with spices, much gold, and precious stones. She spoke with Solomon about all that was in her heart, and he answered all her questions.

When she saw his wisdom, his house, the food of his table, his servants, and his ascent to Yahweh's house, there was no more spirit in her. She said she had not believed the reports until she came, and not half of his great wisdom had been told her.

She blessed Yahweh, who delighted in Solomon and set him on his throne because God loved Israel. She gave him gold and spices, and he gave her all she desired. All the kings of the earth sought Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.
