2 Chronicles 3 · Grade 4
The Most Holy Place
Read and Think
Solomon began to build Yahweh's house on Mount Moriah, where Yahweh appeared to David. It was on the threshing floor of Ornan, where David had prayed and the plague stopped. Solomon began in the fourth year of his reign.
The house was sixty cubits long and twenty wide. Solomon overlaid the inside with pure gold and adorned it with precious stones. Even the nails were gold. The walls were carved with cherubim.
In the most holy place stood two great cherubim with wings spread twenty cubits. A veil of blue, purple, crimson, and fine linen hung before it. At the front stood two pillars, Jachin on the right and Boaz on the left.
