2 Chronicles 20 · Grade 3
Our Eyes Are on You
Read the Story
A great army came against Jehoshaphat. He was afraid and set himself to seek Yahweh. He proclaimed a fast, and Judah gathered to seek help from Yahweh.
Jehoshaphat stood and prayed. He said power and might are in God's hand. He said they had no might against this great army. They did not know what to do, but their eyes were on God. All Judah stood before Yahweh with their little ones.
The Spirit came on Jahaziel. He told them not to be afraid, for the battle was not theirs, but God's. They should stand still and see the salvation of Yahweh. The next day the singers went first, praising Yahweh. God defeated the enemies, and Judah went home with joy.
Memory Verse
“Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that comes against us. We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on you.””
