2 Chronicles 19 · Grade 3
You Judge for Yahweh
Read the Story
Jehoshaphat returned to Jerusalem in peace. Jehu the seer asked if he should help the wicked and love those who hate Yahweh. Yet there were good things in him, for he had set his heart to seek God.
Jehoshaphat went out among the people from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim. He brought them back to Yahweh, the God of their fathers.
He set judges in all the fortified cities. He told them to think about what they did, for they judged for Yahweh. He said the fear of Yahweh should be on them. With God there is no wrong, no favoritism, and no bribes. He told them to be brave, and Yahweh would be with the good.
Memory Verse
“Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.””
