No One Besides You

Asa did what was good and right. He removed foreign altars and high places, broke down the pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He commanded Judah to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and to obey his law.
The kingdom was quiet for ten years. Asa used the peace well. He told Judah to build cities with walls, towers, gates, and bars while the land was still before them. We have sought Yahweh our God, he said, and he has given us rest on every side.
Then Zerah the Ethiopian came with an enormous army. Asa set his men in order and cried to Yahweh. There is no one besides you to help, between the mighty and him who has no strength. He asked God to help them, because they relied on Him and came in His name. Yahweh struck the Ethiopians before Asa.
