2 Chronicles 14 · Grade 3
We Rely on You
Read the Story
Asa did what was good and right in Yahweh's eyes. He took away the foreign altars and broke down the idols. He commanded Judah to seek Yahweh and to obey his law.
The land was quiet, and there was no war, because Yahweh had given him rest. Asa told the people to build these cities, because they had sought Yahweh and He had given them rest. So they built and did well.
Then Zerah the Ethiopian came with a huge army. Asa cried to Yahweh. He said, There is no one besides you to help. He asked God to help them, because they relied on Him. Yahweh gave Judah the victory.
Memory Verse
“Asa cried to Yahweh his God, and said, “Yahweh, there is no one besides you to help, between the mighty and him who has no strength. Help us, Yahweh our God; for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. Yahweh, you are our God. Don’t let man prevail against you.””
