2 Chronicles 12 · Grade 3
Yahweh Is Righteous
Read the Story
Rehoboam's kingdom grew strong. Then he left Yahweh's law, and all Israel did too. In the fifth year, Shishak king of Egypt came to Jerusalem with many chariots.
Shemaiah the prophet said, Yahweh says, You have forsaken me. Then the princes and the king humbled themselves. They said, Yahweh is righteous.
Yahweh saw that they were humble. He said, I will not destroy them. But they would serve Shishak for a while. Shishak took the gold. Rehoboam made bronze shields to replace the gold ones.
