2 Chronicles 1 · Grade 3
Wisdom and Knowledge
Read the Story
Solomon the son of David was firmly set in his kingdom. Yahweh his God was with him. Solomon and all the people went to Gibeon, where the tent of meeting was.
Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on the bronze altar. That night God appeared to him. God said, Ask for what you want me to give you. Solomon asked for wisdom and knowledge to judge God's great people.
God said Solomon had not asked for riches or long life. He had asked for wisdom. So God gave him wisdom and knowledge. God also gave him riches, wealth, and honor more than any king before him.
Memory Verse
“Solomon the son of David was firmly established in his kingdom, and Yahweh his God was with him, and made him exceedingly great.”
