A Way Out
Read the Story
The Philistines got ready to fight Israel. David and his men went with King Achish. They walked at the back of the army.
The Philistine leaders saw David. They were angry. They said David might turn and fight against them. They wanted him to go back.
King Achish told David he had been good. But David had to go back. So David and his men got up early in the morning and left. David did not have to fight against Israel.
Memory Verse
“Therefore now return, and go in peace, that you not displease the lords of the Philistines.””
