1 Samuel 24 · Grade 2
Good for Evil
Read the Story
Saul took three thousand men to look for David. Saul went into a cave. He did not know that David and his men were hiding deep inside.
David's men wanted David to hurt Saul. But David did not. He quietly cut off a piece of Saul's robe. Then David felt bad that he had done even that.
Saul left the cave. David called out to him and bowed down. He showed Saul the piece of his robe. Saul cried. He said David was more right than he was.
Memory Verse
“He said to David, “You are more righteous than I; for you have done good to me, whereas I have done evil to you.”
