1 Samuel 22 · Grade 2
A Safe Place
Read the Story
David hid in a cave. His brothers and family came to him. Many people who were in trouble came too. About four hundred men were with David.
Saul was angry. A man named Doeg told Saul that a priest had helped David. Saul did a terrible wrong to the priests. He did not obey God.
One priest got away. His name was Abiathar. He ran to David. David told him to stay and not be afraid. He would be safe with David.
Memory Verse
“Stay with me. Don’t be afraid, for he who seeks my life seeks your life. You will be safe with me.””
