1 Samuel 21 · Grade 2
Bread for David
Read the Story
David was running from Saul. He came to a priest named Ahimelech. David was hungry. He asked for five loaves of bread.
The priest had only holy bread. He gave it to David. David also asked for a sword. The priest had the sword of Goliath. He gave it to David.
David went to the city of Gath. He was very afraid of the king there. So David acted as if he was not in his right mind. The king sent him away.
