1 Samuel 18 · Grade 2
A Good Friend
Read the Story
Jonathan was Saul's son. He loved David as much as himself. They made a promise to be friends. Jonathan gave David his robe and his bow.
The women sang a song. They said Saul killed thousands, but David killed ten thousands. Saul was angry. He was jealous of David. He watched David from that day on.
Saul threw a spear at David. David got away. David was wise in all he did. God was with him. All Israel loved David.
Memory Verse
“David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and Yahweh was with him.”
