1 Samuel 12 · Grade 2

Samuel Says Goodbye

Name Date

Read the Story

Samuel was old. He spoke to all the people. He asked if he had ever taken anything that was not his. The people said no. Samuel was honest.

Samuel told them how God had saved them many times. But they still asked for a king. It was wheat harvest. Samuel prayed. God sent thunder and rain! The people were afraid.

Samuel said not to be afraid. He told them to serve God with all their heart. He said he would not stop praying for them. He would teach them the good and right way.

Memory Verse

“Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.”

1 Samuel 12:24 (WEB)
