1 Kings 4 · Grade 2
Peace in the Land
Read the Story
Solomon was king over all Israel. He chose leaders to help him. The people were many, like the sand by the sea. They ate and drank and were happy.
There was peace all around. Each man lived safely under his own vine and fig tree. God gave Solomon great wisdom. He was wiser than all men.
Solomon spoke three thousand proverbs. He wrote one thousand and five songs. He talked about trees, animals, birds, and fish. People came from all nations to hear him.
Memory Verse
“God gave Solomon abundant wisdom, understanding, and breadth of mind like the sand that is on the seashore.”
