1 Kings 22 · Grade 2
A Brave Prophet
Read the Story
King Ahab wanted to go to war. King Jehoshaphat of Judah came too. Jehoshaphat asked them to ask God first.
Four hundred prophets said Ahab would win. Jehoshaphat wanted another prophet. His name was Micaiah. Micaiah said he would say only what God told him. He said Ahab would not win. Ahab put him in jail.
Ahab went to battle. He dressed so no one would know he was king. But an arrow hit him. Ahab died, just as God said. Jehoshaphat was a good king. He did what was right.
Memory Verse
“Micaiah said, “As Yahweh lives, what Yahweh says to me, that I will speak.””
