1 Kings 19 · Grade 2
God Helps Elijah
Read the Story
Queen Jezebel was angry at Elijah. Elijah was afraid. He ran far away. He sat under a tree. He was very tired and sad.
Elijah lay down and slept. An angel touched him. The angel said to get up and eat. There was bread and water. Elijah ate and slept again. The angel came again with food.
Elijah went to God's mountain. A strong wind blew. Then came an earthquake and a fire. God was not in them. Then came a quiet, small voice. God spoke to Elijah. God gave him a helper named Elisha.
Memory Verse
“After the earthquake a fire passed; but Yahweh was not in the fire. After the fire, there was a still small voice.”
