1 Kings 17 · Grade 2
God Takes Care of Elijah
Read the Story
Elijah was a prophet. He told King Ahab there would be no rain. God told Elijah to hide by a brook. Ravens brought him bread and meat. He drank from the brook.
Then the brook dried up. God sent Elijah to a widow. She had just a little flour and oil. Elijah asked her to make him a small cake first. God said her flour and oil would not run out. And they did not!
One day the widow's son died. Elijah prayed to God. God gave the boy life again! The widow said she knew Elijah was a man of God.
Memory Verse
“The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.”
