1 Kings 14 · Grade 2
God Knows Everything
Read the Story
Jeroboam's son was sick. Jeroboam told his wife to dress up so no one would know her. She went to see the prophet Ahijah. She took bread and honey.
Ahijah was old and could not see. But God told him she was coming. When she came in, Ahijah knew who she was. He gave her a sad message from God, because Jeroboam had made idols.
In Judah, Rehoboam did evil too. The king of Egypt came. He took the gold shields from God's house. Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place.
Memory Verse
“King Rehoboam made shields of bronze in their place, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who guarded the door of the king’s house.”
