1 Kings 13 · Grade 2
Obey What God Says
Read the Story
A man of God came from Judah. King Jeroboam stood by his altar. The man of God said the altar would break. It split apart!
The king pointed at the man and said to grab him. The king's hand dried up. He could not pull it back. The king asked the man to pray. The man of God prayed, and the hand was healed.
God told the man not to eat or drink there. An old prophet told him a lie. He said an angel told him the man could eat. The man believed him and did not obey God. A lion met him on the road.
Memory Verse
“The king answered the man of God, “Now intercede for the favor of Yahweh your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me.” The man of God interceded with Yahweh, and the king’s hand was restored to him, and became as it was before.”
