1 Corinthians 6 · Grade 3
Washed and Made New
Read the Story
Some believers in Corinth had disagreements. Instead of working them out, they took each other to court before judges who did not know God. Paul asked, Isn't there even one wise man among you who would be able to decide between his brothers?
Paul reminded them that some of them used to live in wrong ways. Paul said, You were washed. You were sanctified. That means Jesus made them clean and set them apart for God.
Paul taught that the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. God will raise His people's bodies, just as He raised Jesus. Since Jesus bought them with a price, they should honor God with their bodies.
Memory Verse
“Some of you were such, but you were washed. You were sanctified. You were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.”
