1 Corinthians 15: Christ Is Risen

Paul reminds the Corinthians of the Good News of first importance: Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and was raised on the third day, and He appeared to Peter, the Twelve, more than five hundred believers, James, and finally to Paul. Some in Corinth denied the resurrection of the dead, but Paul shows that if Christ is not raised, faith is in vain. Christ has been raised as the first fruits, and those who belong to Him will be raised too. The resurrection body will be imperishable and glorious, and death will be swallowed up in victory. So believers should be steadfast, knowing their labor in the Lord is not in vain.
