1 Corinthians 13 · Grade 3
The More Excellent Way
Read the Story
Paul said that if he spoke with the languages of men and angels but did not have love, he would only be like a clanging cymbal. Great faith or giving away everything means nothing without love.
Paul said, Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag. Love is not rude, and it does not keep a record of wrongs. Love rejoices with the truth.
Paul said love never fails. Gifts will end someday. Now people see God dimly, like in a mirror. But one day they will see face to face. Paul said, But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
Memory Verse
“If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.”
