1 Corinthians 11 · Grade 3
Do This in Memory of Me
Read the Story
Paul wrote, Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ. Paul also gave the church directions about how to dress and act in worship in their day.
When the church met, they shared a meal and the Lord's Supper. But some people ate their own supper first. Some had plenty while others were hungry. Paul said this did not honor the Lord.
Paul told them what Jesus did the night He was betrayed. Jesus took bread and gave thanks. He said it was His body, broken for them. He took the cup too. Paul told them to examine their hearts and to wait for one another.
Memory Verse
“When he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “Take, eat. This is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in memory of me.””
